In 2025 I build a website for the social project “Laden4” from Hamburg. “Laden 4” is a social experiment: It uses a vacant commercial space in Hamburg city center and develops and test innovative, community-building formats. Various possible forms of cohabitation are developed here in a public and cooperative process.
Features
The main feature is a clearly structured calendar. The website has the main goal of informing the public about the events currently happening at Laden4 and provides an archive of past events.
Design
The design by Lena Hegger emphasizes clear typography and bold colors. Drawings made by community members serve as the cover images for single events. By reducing the drawings to black and combining them with a predefined color schemes we balance coherent design and DIY aesthetics.
Custom CMS
We also built a custom CMS for the administrators to update the events easily. Admins can define custom color schemes for events from the CMS.
